FAQs

  • Cancellations require 24 hours’ notice. The only exceptions are illness, family emergencies, and necessary doctor or medical appointments.

Lessons canceled without notice are considered unexcused and are not eligible for a makeup or refund.

  • If a student has more than three unexcused absences in a six-month period, they may be removed from the studio roster so that time can be offered to another student.

  • If I must cancel due to illness, the lesson will be eligible for a refund or makeup.

If I am delayed because of travel and cannot extend your lesson time, and you cannot stay longer, your lesson will also qualify for a refund or makeup.

  • Yes. During inclement weather, lessons may be:

    • Moved online,

    • Rescheduled, or

    • Refunded (if no makeup is possible). Safety always comes first.

  • All lessons are billed monthly and are due on the 1st of the month. Lessons remain $25 per 30 minutes, plus travel when applicable.

    • Payments must be made within 48 hours of receiving your invoice.

    • Payments received after 48 hours incur a $5 late fee.

    • If payments are not made within 7 days, lessons pause until the balance is paid.

    • Continued nonpayment may result in removal from the studio.

  • Yes. For in-home lessons, a $5 travel fee is charged per visit, not per student. Families with more than one student only pay the travel fee once per trip.

  • At this time, I do not charge any material fees. These studio policies help keep this possible.

If a student needs to purchase a book, I will provide a direct link to order it.

  • Recital participation fees are:

    • $15 per student, or

    • $30 per family with two or more students.

Recitals are not mandatory, but recital fees must be paid 60 days prior to recital.

Recital fees may change depending on venue availability and costs, but I will always do my best to keep the cost low for families.

  • These policies help me coordinate my teaching schedule and avoid missing other professional opportunities when cancellations happen, especially when a time slot has been reserved for a student.
